ORLEN and Naftogaz have signed a memorandum of cooperation in LNG sector. Its implementation will allow Ukraine to create a more diversified supply of this strategic commodity. The first outcome of the agreement is a transaction to sell gas derived from the regasification of an LNG cargo by ORLEN.

ORLEN removed from the Norwegian "list of shame"

As a result of corrective actions taken by the current Management Board, ORLEN regained the trust of Norges Bank Investment Management and was removed from the watch list. The company entered it after the purchase of the Polska Press media company by the previous management. His actions were then assessed by the Norwegian bank as resulting in a risk of "human rights violations". Norges Bank removed the concern from the list a year earlier than the expected observation period, concluding that the actions of the current Management Board eliminated the previously identified risks.

Business-science alliance for innovative e-fuels

Under an agreement signed today, ORLEN has partnered with the Warsaw University of Technology Branch in Płock and the AGH University of Science and Technology in Kraków to collaborate on advancing the technology for synthetic fuels production. ORLEN Halts Misguided Olefins III Project

The ORLEN Management Board has decided to halt the Olefins III project after determining that the actual implementation costs would have exceeded the initial estimates by sixfold. This decision is expected to save the company approximately PLN 15 billion. The funds will be redirected towards projects that sustainably enhance the competitiveness of both the company and the Polish economy. Irregularities related to the capital investment process have been reported to the prosecutor’s office. Additionally, ORLEN is considering pursuing a compensatory claim against former management board members, enabled by a recently adopted resolution of the General Meeting.
