Composition
Sodium chloride – NaCl with sodium nitrite NaNO2 (E 250)
Application
Product used for pickling meat.
Manufacturing process
Wet salt is dried and then passed through a vibrating screen. Next it is transported to the mixer where a solution of sodium nitrite is added. After intensive stirring the end product is packed as required.
Packaging
- 25 kg plastic bags, placed on Euro pallets in 8 layers of 5 bags each (1000 kg),
- pallet sides are protected with stretch film, top with a PE hood,
- a polyethylene or paper spacer is used between the bottom layer and the pallet
- a paper spacer is placed between the 4th and the 5th layer.

Storage
Stored in a contained warehouse on surfaces allowing in-house truck handling. The storage place must be dry, clean and well ventilated. The salt is stacked on Euro pallets.

- Ingredients: sodium chloride (NaCl) min. 99.0%, anti-caking agent E536 max. 1 mg/100 g E250 - sodium nitrite (NaNO2) 0.5%-0.6%,
- Expiry date: 6 months from date of manufacture,
- Recommended use: pickling of meat products,

- Net weight: 25 kg,
- Storage: keep dry, open immediately before application
- Batch No.: Date of manufacture – DDMMYYS (S – shift number).
Distribution
Product is transported in trucks or containers. The means of transport must be clean, dry, free from foreign smells and properly tight. Salt is only released from the warehouse following a quality control and approval of further distribution conditions.
Handling notes
When the packaging containing nitrite pickling salt is torn or broken, or when the content has been all used up the packaging should be discarded into a waste container.
The product must be stored in a dry, closed space. Dosage: 2.3 kg per 100 kg of meat and fat products.
