VERVA ON - premium

We have developed VERVA ON, a next-generation diesel fuel, with the specific aim of optimising engine performance across a range of weather conditions and varying loads. The product fully complies with the stringent European standards for sulfur-free fuels.

Characteristics

VERVA ON is a premium diesel fuel designed for use in compression-ignition engines. It is formulated from selectively chosen hydrocarbon components, whose quality is rigorously monitored at every stage – from production at the Płock Refinery through to the entire ORLEN logistical network. The fuel meets stringent European regulations for sulfur-free fuels, with a sulfur content maintained below 10 mg/kg.

Due to its low-temperature properties, particularly the Cold Filter Plugging Point (CFPP), VERVA ON diesel fuel is available in three grades designed for use in temperate climates:

  • VERVA ON Diesel Grade B with a maximum CFPP of 0°C,
  • VERVA ON Diesel Grade D with a maximum CFPP of -10°C,
  • VERVA ON Diesel Grade F with a maximum CFPP of -20°C.

VERVA ON diesel fuel for temperate climates is intended for use during the following periods:

  • Grade B – Summer season – from 16 April to 30 September,
  • Grade D – Transitional seasons – from 1 March to 15 April and from 1 October to 15 November,
  • Grade F – Winter season – from 16 November to the end of February.

During the transitional and winter seasons, VERVA ON premium diesel is produced with specially modified components. The fuel is enhanced with cold flow improvers that modify the structure of paraffin crystals, preventing filter blockages, and contains additives that disperse paraffin crystals, ensuring reliable engine start-up and operation under low-temperature conditions.

Importantly, ORLEN does not include manganese-based metallic additives, such as methylcyclopentadienyl manganese tricarbonyl (MMT), in the formulation of VERVA ON.

VERVA ON is particularly recommended for use in passenger vehicles equipped with modern Diesel engines utilising common rail technology. With an elevated cetane number of 55 (compared with the standard 51), VERVA ON enhances engine performance, increases responsiveness, improves start-up, and lowers operating temperatures. The incorporation of specialised lubricity additives reduces fuel consumption and contributes to the reliable operation of fuel injection pumps. VERVA ON also extends engine life by enhancing the durability of mechanical components such as cylinders, pistons, rings, and valves.

The additives in VERVA ON provide the following benefits:

  • Detergent properties – Ensure cleanliness of the engine’s intake and injection systems, and eliminate deposits formed by the use of lower-quality fuels.
  • Anti-corrosive properties – Protect the engine from corrosive environmental factors affecting the fuel, combustion, and exhaust systems.
  • Antioxidant properties – Prevent fuel degradation and maintain fuel stability during storage.

Applications

VERVA ON diesel fuel is engineered to optimise engine performance under a variety of weather conditions and load fluctuations. The elevated detergent content in the fuel ensures that the engine's intake system remains clean, effectively removing deposits left by previous use of lower-quality fuels.

VERVA ON meets the requirements of the Regulation of the Minister of Climate and Environment of 26 June 2024, on the quality requirements for liquid fuels (Dz.U. of 10 July 2024, item 1018), the Regulation of the Minister of Climate and Environment of 26 June 2024, on the methods for testing the quality of liquid fuels (Dz.U. of 17 July 2024, item 1058), as well as the requirements of the Polish Standard PN-EN 590 – Automotive fuels – Diesel fuels – Requirements and test methods.
