Guidelines on the use of detectors
In order to ensure proper protection against chemical hazards, all employees of external Contractors working on active production facilities and fuel terminals should be obligatory equipped with individual detectors.
Additional guidelines for detectors are included in Guidelines No. 2 ,,Occupational Health and Safety executive guidelines for Contractors " (Appendix No. 4 to the General Safety Requirements in ORLEN S.A.)
In accordance with the following Announcement of the Occupational Health and Safety Office, the date for introducing obligatory use of individual detectors is extended until the end of April 2025.
Protective clothing recommendations
External contractors are obliged to use protective clothing with antistatic and fire-retardant properties on the premises of ORLEN production plants.
Protective clothing in-use must be marked with the company name/logo, the CE mark, number of the standard and pictogram indicating covered protection, as well as the certificate number and manufacturer's name.
It is recommended to have pictograms indicating protective properties located in a visible place. Outwear protective clothing should consist of sets, i.e. jacket and trousers.
It is forbidden on the premises of ORLEN plants to use shirts, sweatshirts, T-shirts, etc.as outwear clothing.
The person in charge of the OHS Prevention Team as well as ORLEN Eko Sp. z o. o. having an agreement with ORLEN S.A. for the provision of occupational health and safety services takes action in the field of surveilance and random checks of the rules mentioned above.
Mobile devices guidelines
It is prohibited to use or carry enabled mobile devices, including mobile phones and other portable multimedia devices at ORLEN premises.
The mentioned prohibition applies to explosion hazardous zones for devices without Ex certificates appropriate to a given zone due to explosion hazardous, and to buildings or their special rooms where there is a possibility of disruption of the operation of electronic and power electronic devices, interfere signal paths that are crucial for the continuity of operation and safety of production and logistics installations.
Shall be allowed to use mobile devices, including mobile phones with an increased level of explosion, fire and anti-interference safety, in accordance with the list included in the download file below.
