The New Chemistry is an investment project under which a modern monomer manufacturing plant will be built on ORLEN site in Płock and the Company’s sales capacity in the areas of ethylene oxide and glycols, styrene and C4-butadiene fraction will be increased in line with market requirements.

The New Chemistry plant complex will be commissioned no earlier than 2030.

The New Chemistry will be used for the entire life cycle of the Płock plant, taking over the functions of the plant currently operated as part of Olefins II from around 2030.

Good neighbourhood

New Chemistry’s state-of-the-art facilities are being built on the border between Płock and the Stara Biała Municipality. They are located near the largest refinery and petrochemical plant in Central and Eastern Europe, which has been in operation since 1964 and has systematically been upgraded. For this reason, it has been important for many years to maintain good neighbourly relations with local communities.
