First shipment to ORLEN GAZ marine terminal

Yesterday, Tuesday 21st July 2009, the ORLEN GAZ marine LPG terminal in Szczecin (Poland) received 1.6 thousand tonnes of propane shipped from Stanlow (UK). The gas was transferred from the Lady Martine to the 3 on-shore tanks of ORLEN Gaz, which after laboratory analysis was reloaded to the road auto-tanks.

The Szczecin marine LPG terminal is one of the three, and the second largest in Poland in terms of storage capacity. At the same time the ORLEN GAZ facility is equipped with the most modern reloading infrastructure in Poland. The terminal, which spreads along 274m of the coastline, is designed to receive and store 4,500 m3 of gas in 3 tanks and reload it into ground transportation facilities. It can serve ships of 6 thousand DWT with 3 fully automated reloading facilities for auto-tanks and 2 for rail-tanks. The terminal also offers 10 stands for auto-tanks and a rail line for 30 rail tanks. The ORLEN GAZ marine terminal is a fully commercial facility ready to serve all interested clients.
