Countdown to VERVA Street Racing has begun
VERVA Street Racing, the largest motoring event in Poland, is about to set off on a tour of the country again, this time dropping anchor in Gdynia. In less than two months, on August 24th-25th, during its jubilee tenth edition, we will be driving, riding, racing and even flying together with our audience of motorsports fans. PKN ORLEN has prepared amazing attractions for participants of all ages, including shows by the ORLEN Team crew with Robert Kubica as its member.
“Having visited Warsaw, Płock and Kraków in the past years, Verva Street Racing is now coming to the Polish seaside. The choice of the place and time has not been random. Our CSR activities are targeted widely, proportionately to the reach of our business. By choosing for our venue the seaside city of Gdynia during the summer holidays, we will give a chance to participate not only to local residents of the Tri-City, but also to automotive fans from all over Poland. We also take responsibility for fostering relations with the local communities where we operate, which is why more of our CSR initiatives are focused on the region of Pomerania,” said Daniel Obajtek, President of the Management Board of PKN ORLEN.
The upcoming jubilee edition of VSR will include meetings with motorsport champions as well as presentations of racing, rally, military and historical vehicles, but also cars of the future. On a specially prepared beach it will be possible to feel the adrenaline rush of racing in an authentic Dakar Rally car. Next on the attractions list come drift shows by masters, including Kuba Przygoński, motorcycle stunts and many other motoring attractions, featuring the appearances by Maciej Giemza, Adam Tomiczek and Kacper Wróblewski.
Robert Kubica, who will be there with the ROKiT Williams Racing team cars, will be a special guest. The only Polish driver ever in Formula 1 will showcase his skills on a specially prepared track.
Spectators will also be able to watch VERVA Street Racing shows on the main streets of Gdynia and the seaside beach. One could say that sky will be the limit in this year’s edition, as motoparaglider flying shows by the three-time World Champion Wojtek Bógdał and air stunts by the famous ‘Żelazny’ group have been planned.
As always, there will be additional attractions, including a dynamic paddock show, a Pit Party, a family zone, as well as food and drink outlets. In the evenings, reserve your time to go to concerts by Polish musical stars.
The previous nine editions of VERVA Street Racing have attracted a total of more than 2,600 sports and high-performance vehicles and a turnout of over 580 thousand spectators.
