The sale of 43.700.000 shares of PKN ORLEN

Following the announcement of Gielda Papierow Wartosciowych w Warszawie S.A. (Warsaw Stock Exchange) the Management Board of Polski Koncern Naftowy ORLEN S.A. informs of a sale of 43.700.000 shares of PKN ORLEN S.A. on July 1, 2000 offered in the Retail Tranche by Nafta Polska S.A.

43.537.008 shares were sold at PLN 18.45 upon the purchase orders placed in the Main Order Period. The purchase orders were reduced on average by 90.8%
162.992 shares were sold at PLN 19.70 upon the purchase orders placed in the Final Order Period. The purchase orders were reduced on average by 95.4%
There were 60.650 purchase orders for 477.343.665 shares offered in the Retail Tranche, including:

59.001 offers for 473.782.871 shares in the Main Order Period;
1.649 offers for 3.560.794 shares in the Final Order Period.
