Shares held by The Bank of New York

According to Article 147 of “The Act on Public Trading in Securities", the Management Board of Polski Koncern Naftowy ORLEN S.A. notifies that as of July 5, 2000 The Bank of New York is in possession of 114,727,642 bearer shares of Polski Koncern Naftowy ORLEN S.A., the amount that assures of 27.30 percent of votes at the General Meeting of Shareholders.

The 27.30 percent level came into effect as a results of receipt of Polski Koncern Naftowy S.A. shares into The Bank Of New York's account on July 3, 2000 with regard to the Polski Koncern Naftowy S.A. GDR programmes.
