We popularize physical activity and preventive healthcare. We activate local communities and maintain social bonds.
In 2020 only, ORLEN supported 70 institutions, sports projects, clubs and associations. Approximately 327 thousand children from all around the country participated in our projects.
We support running competitions that connect generations and local communities.
Rykowisko Ultra Trail
The competition is primarily dedicated to all leisure and sports fans, as well as passionate trail runners. The routes lead through touristic paths in breathtaking landscapes with woods and lakes. The project allows us to popularize running as a pleasant form of activity and healthy leisure. We integrate the running community and promote both cross and long-distance runs and simultaneously the area of Gostyńsko-Włocławski landscape park.
Krzysztof Zywer Street Run of the NSZZ “Solidarność” Region of Płock
For several years, in collaboration with Płock Region of NSZZ “Solidarność” based in Płock, we have been organizing a 7.8 km run, the route of which runs along the streets of the Old Town in Płock. The event is popular among the members of “Solidarność” and many other people from Płock. The 21st edition of the run is scheduled for 2021. These amateur events support promotion of running and healthy lifestyle among communities from Płock, Gostynin, Sierpc and Płońsk municipalities.
Horse-riding club in Łąck
The competition organized by Horse Riding Club Łąck, founded at Stado Ogierów stable in Łąck, enables riders to prove their abilities and check on the results of horse training in one-horse and two-horse harness, show-jumping and dressage. The competition is popular among the local community and horse riding enthusiasts from all over the country.
Hetman Płock Chess Club
Chess playing has been regaining its popularity recently, but ORLEN has a long-span experience in fostering the training of chess enthusiasts. Our project involves children and teens coaching as well as junior and senior teams participating in the league, master and other competitions.
The team of seniors, supported by ORLEN, is up to participate in Chess Extra League. Eight tournaments will be hosted in Plock, including three national ones in classic, fast and blitz chess. We will provide training for around 50 members of the Hetman Płock Chess Club.
