Supporting Polish motorsport
The motorsport disciplines intertwine with ORLEN’s business activity. For this reason we are engaged in support of Polish competitors and motorsports rookies.
For more than 20 years, ORLEN Team has been a group that gathered representatives of Polish motorsports, including the first Polish Formula 1® racing driver Robert Kubica, twofold individual speedway world champion Bartosz Zmarzlik and multiple Dakar Rally® participant Jakub Przygoński. The competitors who receive our support, take top places in the international competitions.
ORLEN Team is involved in competitions exceeding rallies and road races. The team consists of Bartek Marszałek, who is recognized as the fastest Polish motor-boater, Grupa Żelazny aerobatic team, famous for its incredible aerial stunts, and Wojtek Bógdał, a multiple World and European paragliding champion.
In 2019, ORLEN Group also became the official sponsor of Polish Speedway National Team, contributing to its development. Polish speedway racers are the eight-times gold medal winners in Speedway World Cup. In 2019 and 2020, they have added two silver medals to their vast trophy collection.
ORLEN cooperates not only with the acclaimed and the most recognized Polish drivers, but also with those, who have a chance to follow their path. ORLEN Academy Team has been fostering the most gifted young karting racers for years. We help the rookies gather experience, which is essential to participate in the world-class races.
