The Polish National Foundation is dedicated to promoting Polish culture, national heritage, and the country’s economy. It engages in diverse initiatives, including military and educational projects, support for Polish cinematography, and sports sponsorship.
Notable projects include:
- Forerunner - a pioneering, multi-year project for members of NATO forces stationed in Poland. The project has organised 25 educational trips, benefiting over 2,000 soldiers.
I Love Poland – involving the participation of a Polish yacht in major global regattas. The project’s second component focuses on training the younger generation of Polish ocean racing sailors. - “The Peasants” - a film directed by DK Welchman and H. Welchman, based on the novel by Władysław Reymont. The hand-painted animation was honoured at the 48th Polish Film Festival in Gdynia. The film earned both the audience award and a special recognition for its unique form. Its Polish premiere took place on 5 October 2023, and it was selected as Poland’s candidate for the Academy Award for Best International Feature Film.
- “The Pilecki Report” - a film directed by K. Łukaszewicz and inspired by the life story of Cavalry Captain Witold Pilecki. The film premiered on 1 September 2023, and was showcased at both the Polish Film Festival in Gdynia and the Rebellious, the Invincible, the Cursed Film Festival.
